Treatment of Arthritis with Celebrex Generic

Celebrex generic name celecoxib, is a COX-2 selective NSAID medication.  COX-2 selective inhibitor is a type of NSAID or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that straightforwardly targets the enzyme called COX-2 which is responsible for the incidence of pain and inflammation.

Celebrex generic is typically used for the treatment of the signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis in children 2 years or older.  Celebrex generic can also be used to treat ankylosing spondylitis, painful menstruation in women, and it can even reduce the number of rectal and colon polyps in patients with familial adenomatous polyps.

For pain that is the result of getting an operation (postoperative pain), Celebrex generic can be similar to ibuprofen. For relief of pain, Celebrex generic can be similar to paracetamol (acetaminophen).  Acetaminophen is actually the first line of treatment for osteoarthritis, which means Celebrex generic can also be used for this ailment.
